On ShaunSocial, people use the hashtag symbol (#) before a relevant keyword or phrase in their post to categorize those posts and help them show more easily in search. Clicking or tapping on a hashtagged word in any message shows you other posts that include that hashtag. Hashtags can be included anywhere in a post.
All the hashtags that people included in the posts can be managed in admincp -> content manager -> Hashtags. For each Hashtags, you can set it as active or not. If it’s active, member can see it to select when typing # to start including Hashtags into a post.

By default, Hashtags that included by users will be at “Not active” status. You need to monitor to activate them for other people to select when they start typing “#” to include existing Hashtag into a post. It’s importance to monitor the Hashtags to enable the ones that you think it’s useful for you social site.

As admin, you can manually add a new hashtag by clicking on “Create New” button.
