The phone verification step adds an extra step to ask member to verify their phone number before using the platform. It helps confirm user identity, reduce fake accounts, and ensure platform integrity. This verification method enhances trust and safety for all users.
You can enable/disable this feature by accessing Site Settings -> General Configuration -> Login & Registration.
When the “Phone Verification Signup Step” setting is enabled, a required phone number input field will appear on the signup page.
After completing the signup process, a verification code will be sent to your phone. You must enter this code to verify your number to activate access to the platform.
You can change your phone number by accessing Edit Profile -> Account.
